Next time I talk to a customer I can tell them a Blue Circle 60x1 is A LOT cheaper than a dedicated power pole.

We have our own transformer on a pole. It is good to sort of isolate from the grid. However, unless that transformer is ONLY for the audio system, any appliances, computers, switching power supplies, LED and CFL lighting in the house are all going to inject noise into the ac powerline within the house. Which the transformer on the pole outside the house wouldn't help. That make having a powerline conditioner/filter is necessary at where the equipment draw power from.

I am not saying having our own transformer on a pole doesn't help. It certainly does, but having a powerline conditioner right where the gears at is as or more important.
